My response on "How to run a 100 miles"

The film, how to run 100 miles, directed by Brendan Leonard,is about these two men ( Bremen and Jason ) who are close friends, they ran a 36 hour100 mile ultra marathon and completed it in under that time. I think the writers purpose was to inspire, challenge and push yourself out of your comfort zone also not to give up. What I took or learnt from this film was to not give up,because Jayson never gave up trying to win a wrestling match after 2 years of many matches lost. I respect that because people tend to drop new things really easily whether it's because they aren't good at it or they just don't have any determination. But nope, never Jason, he sticks to it. Another example of Jayson’s determination was when he said. ”This is happening, I’m gonna get down this mountain.” This taught me that even in your hardest times you still gotta keep moving. This film made me feel inspired and incapable in a way. It inspired me to do more in my life whether its active or just being outside in nature more. By incapable I mean as in “oh i could never do that” and I know it takes time like with anything but now I'm inspired to take the time out and be active. For one ive always wanted to do some sort of sport and join a club or team but haven't been able to due to either money or time but i have been in an all girls football team at my old school in Australia which I really enjoyed. Sports i'm interested in are basketball, football and hockey so maybe I'll join a team now thanks to Jason. Jason made the greatest impression on me due to the fact to his mindset. He has this outgoing, positive, active mind, where he sets his mind to something and he's dedicated. An example of this is when Jason was trying to figure out how one goes to college,so he went to a counsellor just for the counsellor to turn around and say, “Oh collage is not really for people like you,Jason.” Jason proved him wrong, he went to community college and got a bachelor's degree. He stuck to what he wanted and got it. I respect that. This short film reminded me of Nick Vujicic. Nick vujicic is a motivational speaker who talks about his life struggle of having no limbs, a physical disability that he was born with. He helps spread the message of hope and inspires people, almost like Jason in a way, they both had their struggles like Jason being dyslexic and being told “college isn't a place for you”and Nick being depressed as a kid for his looks but they both got through it and didn't give up. Over all both Nick and Jason shared the same message of inspiration, motivation and hope to many people of all ages, they sure did inspire me. I think Nick and Jason are both bright and courageous people who spread an appealing message. Credit-Bremen and Jason
